LMAX Group has appointed Luke Dorney to spearhead its growth strategy for digital asset custody. Dorney, who previously worked for Blockdaemon in different roles, including Head of Sales EMEA, General Manager and VP of Sales for EMEA, and General Manager and VP of Sales for US and EMEA, will join the group as the Head of Custody.

Growth Strategy for Digital Asset Custody

Speaking about his appointment on LinkedIn, Dorney mentioned: "Last week, I joined LMAX Group to lead the growth strategy for digital asset custody. LMAX was one of the first companies I dealt with when I moved professionally into the digital asset space 4+ years ago. It was clear to me, very early on, that they were (and continue to be) a leading and trusted organization at the forefront of developing the regulated institutional market structure for digital asset trading and custody."

"The pace of change with digital assets is lightning fast; I have learned that nothing remains the same for long and that you need to be ready for the next phase of institutional digital asset adoption - this next phase will be more exciting than ever! LMAX Targets Key Appointments

Last month, LMAX Group appointed Chris Knight as the Managing Director. Knight, an experienced financial markets professional with decades of industry experience, will reportedly move from Sydney to London to assume his new role over the summer. In his new responsibilities, Knight will oversee the operations and future growth strategy of LMAX Digital, the group's institutional cryptocurrency exchange.

Early this month, LMAX Group announced its plans to expand operations to Eastern Europe and the Nordics through strategic appointments. The group named Andre Severi as the Managing Director and Head of EMEA Sales. Severi started his career in 1992 at Crédit Agricole, where he served as a Senior FX Trader VP in Paris and New York.
