Members of AssangeDAO: 12,161 ETH used in Assange legal defense and activities, more than 4,431 ETH unused

On July 7, AssangeDAO member Silke Noa said in a letter to X that the Wau Holland Foundation (WH) has released a "preliminary transparency report" disclosing the expenditure of 16593 ETH raised by AssangeDAO to rescue Assange.。According to the report, 12161 ETH has so far been used for legal fees and PR work, including certain advances paid by WH before The Clock raised funds.。Moreover, these figures clearly show that the 10,000 contributors to AssangeDAO actually funded Assange's freedom.。The report mentions that pending invoices, such as legal fees for 2024, are not expected to be available to WH until mid-August, and it still needs to clarify whether any ongoing litigation requires continued support.。5% of AssangeDAO funds (value at 9 May 2022 was 829.65 ETH) is retained by WH as a "reserve" to cover WH internal costs (IT infrastructure, expenses, travel costs, office costs), and the relevant multiple signatures indicate 329.65 ETH remain in this reserve account。The report also lists payments made to the Assange Campaign International organization, which has also funded a wide range of Assange Australia events and received three donations..5% (i.e. 580.755 ETH)。The report shows that 12,161 ETH only paid a total of 16.66 million euros.。As of the date of transfer on 13 March 22, 12,161 ETH were worth €28.7 million / $31.2 million (now $37.1 million)。This may be due to some funds being transferred in a crypto bear market without treasury preservation management, or due to additional transaction rates。To date, 4431 of the AssangeDAO.5993 ETH (now $13.54 million) funds (matching on-chain data) are still unused。Noa said it hopes and looks forward to a decision on the arrangement of the remaining funds in full cooperation with the AssangeDAO community.。
