Trump: Tariffs will be imposed on imported agricultural products from April 2 "

According to Internet reports, U.S. President Trump said on social media that the United States will impose tariffs on "external" agricultural products starting on April 2, his latest threat to set up trade barriers on imported goods. Trump said: "To America's great farmers: Get ready to start producing large quantities of agricultural products for domestic sales. Tariffs will be imposed on external products on April 2." Trump did not elaborate on which products would be affected or whether there would be exceptions. It was unclear whether his plan was part of a previously announced effort to impose so-called "reciprocal" tariffs on almost all U.S. trading partners.
