Bitwise chief investment officer: Bitcoin may outperform stocks in market correction for the first time
According to online reports, Matt Hougan, chief investment officer of Bitwise, recently said that Bitcoin is showing characteristics that are "significantly different" from previous market pullbacks. Despite market fluctuations triggered by Trump's tariff policies, Bitcoin's price has fluctuated by only 0.07% in the past month, showing rare stability. Since Bitcoin broke through $1 in 2011, it has never outperformed the stock market during a comprehensive market correction, but Hougan believes this time may be different. As more companies, institutions and governments begin to own Bitcoin, its narrative as a safe-haven asset is gradually replacing its positioning as a risky asset, showing signs of the growing maturity of the cryptocurrency market.
