Online reports, according to The Big Whale, the French National Gaming Authority (ANJ) plans to ban Polymarket's access permits in the country. Although Polymarket uses cryptocurrency to operate, its essence is still gambling and is regarded as illegal under French law. Currently, ANJ has said it is reviewing the platform's compliance and plans to restrict its access in France through domain name blocking and other means.
