Xiamen prosecutor: Man sentenced to 11 years for stealing virtual currency and making more than 1.6 million yuan
Online reports that Xiamen Procuratorate Public Account issued an article revealing that a man surnamed Chen had been sentenced to 11 years for stealing virtual currency for profits of more than 1.6 million yuan. It is reported that Chen fabricated a lie that his account was disconnected, thereby defrauding the victim of various Captcha codes. Through the real-time Captcha, he continued to secretly transfer the virtual currency in Hong's account to his account, and then quickly sold these virtual currencies to make a profit of more than 1.6 million yuan and all of them were used to repay personal debts. After trial, the court sentenced Chen to 11 years in prison and fined him for theft.
