According to online reports, Alex Konanykhin, co-founder of crypto investment company Unicoin, expressed the hope that the SEC will end its investigation into his company and join the ranks of crypto companies that have escaped regulatory litigation. Previously, the SEC filed charges of fraud and unregistered securities against Unicoin during the Biden administration, forcing it to move business to Europe and stop raising funds in the United States. Konanykhin called the accusation groundless and emphasized that Unicoin had been publicly reporting transaction records and financial data.
