U.S. prosecutors on Monday charged 22-year-old Andean Medjedovic with two hacks totaling $65 million, Internet reported. Court documents show that Medjedovic previously admitted making profits of approximately $16 million from DeFi agreement Indexed Finance in October 2021. He is also believed to be behind the November 2023 attack on KyberSwap that cost the protocol and its users approximately $48 million in cryptocurrency. The hacker later sent approximately $2 million in cryptocurrency to a digital wallet believed to be controlled by Medjedovic. Majdovic faces five charges, including fraud, money laundering and extortion. On Monday, he did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
