US SEC drops lawsuit against Hex founder

On April 23, Cointelegraph reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that it would no longer resubmit the securities fraud lawsuit against Hex founder Richard Heart. The court previously rejected the SEC's original lawsuit, holding that the regulator had failed to prove jurisdiction over Heart's activities. Heart called it a victory for open source software, cryptocurrency and freedom of speech.
