It is reported that Apple (AAPL.US) may shift iPad engineering resources from China to Vietnam。Apple is working with major iPad assembler BYD to transfer new product import (NPI) resources to Vietnam, according to people familiar with the matter.。Last year, BYD helped Apple move iPad assembly to Vietnam。This is the first time Apple has moved NPI resources from core devices to Vietnam.。According to people familiar with the matter, the trial production engineering verification of the new iPad model will begin in mid-February next year, and the model will be available in the second half of next year.。This shift in NPI engineering resources is focused on entry-level iPad models, not the high-end iPad Pro。
