According to reports from SentinelLabs, North Korean hacker BlueNoroff is using new malware to attack cryptocurrency companies. The malware operation nicknamed "Hidden Risk" is spread through PDF files in multiple stages, using fake news headlines and cryptographic market research to attract user downloads. The malware package contains multiple features designed to provide hackers with backdoors to remotely access victims 'computers and steal sensitive information, including digital asset wallets and platform private keys. According to cybersecurity company Recorded Future, North Korean hacking groups have stolen approximately $3 billion in funds since 2017.
