US prosecutors recommend up to eight years in prison for Mango Markets attacker

Internet reported that U.S. prosecutors filed a letter with a district judge on Tuesday recommending that Mango Markets attacker Avi Eisenberg be sentenced to 78 to 97 months (approximately 6.5-8 years) in prison. Eisenberg previously claimed that his actions were legal trading tactics, but prosecutors believed he knew they were illegal. His sentencing hearing is scheduled to be held on May 1. According to previous news, Mango Markets, the Solana ecosystem DeFi platform, was hacked in October 2022, generating more than US$100 million in bad debts.
