By comparison, Trump's average approval rating during his first presidential term in 2019 was 44%. At the same time, 51% of respondents had a negative view of Trump's policies. 54% of respondents disagreed with his first economic decisions after taking office. 55% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the way they dealt with inflation. Fewer than half of respondents believe the United States is on the right track. 55% of respondents agree with Trump's current immigration policy, about the same proportion support government reform, another 25% oppose it, and 18% believe there is no significant change.
