On February 19, according to on-site news, at the Consensus Hong Kong 2025 conference, Leung Fengyi, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), revealed that Hong Kong will release a roadmap for the development of virtual assets this afternoon. It is reported that SFC will focus on areas such as digital asset custody, over-the-counter (OTC) transactions and stablecoin transactions. Leung Fengyi pointed out that Hong Kong has made significant progress in the custody, trading and issuance of crypto assets, and is actively promoting more institutions to participate in this field. She emphasized that blockchain technology can help improve settlement efficiency, and Hong Kong will adopt flexible ways to integrate existing regulatory measures to build a development framework that combines supervision and innovation.
