United Microelectronics sales plunged ~8% in June
UMC reported a 7.91% decrease in net sales for June 2024, following a 3.9% increase in May.
sankai Semiconductor wafer foundry United Microelectronics (NYSE:UMC) reported on Thursday that its net sales for the month of June fell 7.91% Y/Y to NT$17.55B. Net sales for the month of May were up 3.9% Y/Y to NT$19.51B. On a YTD basis, net sales were slightly higher by 0.84% Y/Y to NT$111.43B. According to SA contributor Khaveen Investments, \"UMC's expansion into 12nm process technology through partnerships could support long-term growth, but demand recovery remains a risk in 2024.\"
