Emblem Vault CEO suffers Zoom conference phishing attack, losing more than $100,000 in digital assets

Online reports, Cointelegraph reported that Jake Gallen, CEO of digital asset trading platform Emblem Vault, was hacked after a suspicious Zoom video conference, losing more than $100,000 in Bitcoin and Ethereum assets. It is reported that the attacker pretended to be a YouTube blogger "Tactical Investing" with more than 90,000 subscribers. During the video interview, he used Zoom's remote access function turned on by default to install malware called "GOOPDATE" on Gallen's computer. Cybersecurity firm SEAL said the hacking group, known as "ELUTIVE COMET," usually operates as venture capital firm Aureon Capital and has caused millions of dollars in financial losses.
