SEC objects to "urgent request for decisive evidence"
The Internet reported that the SEC had just raised an objection to the "urgent request for decisive evidence" filed by Justin W.Keener on April 4, and the objection was in favor of Ripple. The SEC opposed the motion because they said: 1) the District Court had no jurisdiction over the request because the case had been moved to the Second Circuit Court; 2) Keener had not filed an appropriate motion for intervention; and 3) it was not necessary because, as SEC lawyers pointed out, Ripple had sufficient capacity to decide on its own whether the "evidence" involved would assist its case. For these reasons, the SEC asked Judge Torres to deny the request entirely.
