West Japan Railway Company (JR West) train travel location information was unavailable due to a Windows system failure. Australian airlines, bank government networks, and corporate supermarket cash registers were also affected
The Microsoft cloud service failure even caused some airlines to suspend flight operations. American Frontier Airlines, in particular, had its systems directly affected by the Microsoft service outage. The company later released a statement saying, “Reservations, check-in, obtaining boarding passes, and some flights may be impacted during this period.”
From July 18th to 19th, Microsoft experienced three major outages in a 24-hour period. As of now, there are still some users whose Microsoft 365 apps are in a degraded state.
