Massive strike by Samsung factory employees in India! Demanding more than double their wages

Since the 9th of this month, more than 1,000 workers at Samsung's factory near Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, have participated in the strike.。They asked South Korea's Samsung India subsidiary to double the average monthly salary of its employees within three years. From 3.50,000 Indian rupees (about 2,943 yuan) increased to 7.10,000 rupees (about 5970 yuan)。Samsung India Electronics Union calls for 8 hours per day, 6 days per week to 7 hours per day, 5 days per week。Indian unions also require employees to be allowed to take up their posts in the event of their deaths in order to protect the livelihoods of survivors.。The Indian union also asked Samsung to provide subsidies for the children of local employees to attend private schools, which is 50,000 Indian rupees (about 4,204 yuan) per year.。
