The European Commission issued a statement on 4 April announcing a fine of more than 1.8 billion euros against Apple for abusing its dominant position in the music streaming app distribution market and violating EU antitrust regulations.。It is reported that streaming music software providers are required to pay Apple a 30% commission when providing services through the Apple Store and are unable to explain to consumers on Apple devices that the commission is included in the total price。In response, Apple refused to accept the penalty decision and said it would appeal.。Apple said the European Commission "found no credible evidence of consumer victimization, ignoring the reality that this thriving market is full of competition and rapid development."。
