Recently, there are rumors that Xiaomi Motors has begun the development of a new platform, which will use an extended-range hybrid powertrain. The three planned products are all SUV models, positioned as family cars. These three models will be benchmarked against Ideal L7, Ideal L8, and Ideal L9. They will be based on the same platform structure through changes in wheelbase and number of seats to differentiate their products, but the price range will be lower than that of Ideal products.
Xiaomi responded that the information was completely untrue. Xiaomi Motors is focusing on increasing production capacity, accelerating the delivery of Xiaomi SU7, and continuing to improve user service experience.
