SNB faces deadline for instant payment compliance
A June 2021 decision by the Swiss National Bank (SNB) triggered the introduction of instant payments in Swiss francs.。According to the Swiss National Bank, from August 2024, financial institutions must accept such payments.。
This applies to major Swiss banks, including Commerzbank, whose annual trading volume exceeds 500 million euros, and the EU's upcoming instant payment regulations will require all other Swiss banks to comply with the regulations by 2026.。
