"It is expected that the exchange will accept your proxy receipt subscription displayed on the system to receive BTC / BCH repayments as your proxy。Thereafter, an Agent Receipt Agreement will be entered into between you and the Exchange。After the agreement is signed, we will notify you by email。"Mt.An email from Goxtrust says。
"Please note that if your account is disabled or frozen in the future, you may not receive BTC / BCH repayments.。"However, many other users on this sub-section mentioned that they have not received any such emails.。
Ten years of waiting
Mt.Gox was once the largest bitcoin exchange, handling 70% of the world's bitcoin transactions.。However, unable to recover from the impact of the hack, it shut down the service.。In addition, the former CEO of the exchange has been ruled by a Japanese court for tampering with exchange records。
The exchange closed its business in February 2014, but it took the trustees 10 years to start refunding victims.。Previously, the trustees had repeatedly delayed the recovery process.。
The latest email comes after several victims of Mt Gox confirmed they received refunds from the custodian last month.。These refunds are offered in fiat currency, as many are received via yen transfers, while others are received via Paypal.。However, there is some controversy over the amount received。
The compensation process has also been controversial as some victims have received double payments from trustees。In a serial email, the trustee blamed a "system problem" for the double payment and asked the victim to refund the excess amount.。
