Analysis: Upbit's trading volume in the past two days has reached US$14 billion, equivalent to the overall trading volume of Korean stocks
According to online reports, 10xResearch pointed out in its market analysis that South Korean exchange Upbit accounts for 80% of the local market, with trading volume of US$14 billion on Saturday and Sunday, an increase of 48% compared with its 7-day moving average, which usually includes higher weekday trading volume. By comparison, trading volume for all South Korean stocks was US$14 billion. This is in contrast to the speculative boom observed in March, when single-day retail trading volume in South Korea reached US$16.2 billion, and the current market is experiencing abnormally high trading volumes for several days.
