Hasu's rebuttal of Safe has sparked controversy, with Wintermute founder saying his remarks distort the facts

According to online reports, Safe investor Hasu posted on social media that although Bybit was stolen because Safe front-end rather than Bybit's infrastructure was compromised, Bybit's infrastructure was not enough to monitor such a simple hacking attack. When more than $1 billion is transferred, there is no reason why the integrity of the message should not be verified on the second offline machine. If you blame SAFE instead of Bybit here, you would have completely learned the wrong lesson. In response, Wintermute founder wishfulcynic.eth responded that his remarks were confusing and distorted the facts (gas lamp effect). Hasu refuted his series of comments that it is difficult to answer whether Safe was wrong in the incident (not because he is an investor in Safe). Safe provides a solution with a centralized front end, but it should never be relied on entirely. It believes that Safe's biggest problem is that it has not cooperated with large-money customers to educate them on safety. Safe developer equipment has been compromised, but it is more important to learn from it.
