U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC): During the week of October 29, speculators 'net long positions in COMEX gold decreased by 5,014 contracts to 237,075 contracts. The net long position in COMEX silver fell to 41,169 contracts. The net long position in COMEX copper fell to 19,580 contracts, a seven-week low. Net long positions in NYMEX Platinum increased to 30,841 contracts, a five-year high. The net short position in NYMEX palladium fell to 1,708 contracts, a 22-month low.
