Binance responds to SMS fraud attack: plans to launch new security features to help users identify the authenticity of text messages

On February 26, the Binance customer service team responded to recent SMS fraud attacks reported by users, saying that such attacks are common SMS Spoofing technology, are not a new hacking method, nor are they specifically targeted at the Binance or cryptocurrency industry. Attackers disguise the sender's identity to make the text message appear to be from a trusted source. Due to the vague legal supervision of such behaviors in some areas, prevention becomes more difficult. Binance said it will continue to be committed to protecting the security of user assets and plans to launch new security features to help users identify the authenticity of text messages. In addition, Binance reminds users to carefully check the source of SMS and avoid clicking on suspicious links; properly keep personal information, including passwords, mnemons and private keys; Binance will not contact users via text messages or phone calls, and if you encounter problems, please contact online customer service directly.
