Bitcoin dug up an empty block at an altitude of 871732 97 minutes ago
On November 24, according to mempool data, miners dug out an empty block at the Bitcoin height of 871732 (that is, the block only contained a transaction for the block reward Coinbase), which was only 6 seconds away from the previous block height. Miners pack empty blocks for economic reasons, and doing so is the wisest choice for miners. In order to make full use of this time for mining and avoid conflicts with the transactions packaged in the parent block, miners cannot fill the block with transactions, which means that miners can only try to hollow out the block.
