Belarus plans to issue CBDC in the second half of 2026

Online reports, Daily Hodl reported that Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Belarus, announced in a statement that he plans to launch CBDC next year. The digital form of the Belarusian ruble will be fully circulated in the second half of 2026, and businesses will be supported to freely use CBDC, with government agencies and individuals targeting 2027.
