EU suspends retaliatory tariffs on US goods until July 14

Internet reports that the European Union announced that it would suspend retaliatory tariffs on 21 billion euros worth of U.S. goods until July 14, 2025. The move aims to create space for negotiations with Washington. EU Trade Commissioner Serfkovic arrived in Washington on Monday for talks with U.S. representatives, hoping to reach an agreement before the 90-day deadline ends. The European Commission said that although it is still preparing a response to the 20% U.S. tariff, Brussels has clearly expressed its desire to avoid retaliatory actions, believing that the U.S. tariff is "unreasonable and harmful" and may harm both sides and the global economy.
