Four suspects charged with burglary of cryptocurrency anchor Amouranth
Internet reports, according to Cointelegraph, four suspects have been charged for burglary of Internet anchor Amouranth (real name Kaitlyn Siragusa). The suspects included two minors aged 16-17 who were charged with entering the house with guns and demanding that the anchor hand over the private key of the cryptocurrency. The incident occurred on the evening of March 2. Several armed men broke into Siragusa's home, beat him and threatened him with guns, demanding to obtain his cryptocurrency. Fortunately, Siragusa's husband learned about the situation through the phone and surveillance cameras. While the suspect was searching for cold wallet equipment, Siragusa successfully escaped and joined with her husband. Then her husband fired at the intruder and the suspect immediately fled the scene. It is reported that Siragusa previously disclosed online that she held approximately 211 bitcoins worth more than $20 million, which may have made her a target of robbery.
