Singapore officials: The public should be wary of cryptocurrency fraud, and those who commit serious crimes do not rule out the use of flogging."

Internet reports that Sun Xueling, Minister of the Interior of Singapore, reiterated the determination of various government agencies to crack down on fraud cases and further strengthen existing anti-fraud measures, regulations and education when debating the Ministry of the Interior's expenditure budget at the Parliamentary Appropriations Committee on Tuesday. She specifically mentioned cryptocurrency fraud, which accounted for a quarter of the total losses involved in fraud last year. She pointed out that scammers have recently discovered that banks are closely monitored and difficult to exploit loopholes. They instead instructed victims to exchange money for cryptocurrency and then remit money, thereby circumventing the censorship mechanism. There are also scammers who directly steal assets from victims 'cryptocurrency wallets. Faced with repeated fraud cases, the Ministry of the Interior does not rule out the use of flogging to punish those who commit serious fraud crimes. (Lianhe Zaobao)
