Online reported that on Tuesday, Sony Electronics Singapore said in a statement that it has enabled USDC payments through the payment service of cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, marking the first time the company has conducted direct cryptocurrency transactions locally. This feature allows customers to use the USDC stablecoin, which is pegged to the U.S. dollar, to settle accounts. Currently, this feature is limited to Sony's online store and is only available through Crypto.com's payment system. Although only one cryptocurrency is currently supported, Sony said it plans to increase support for other cryptocurrencies in the future.
