US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: Dismissing Coinbase charges does not mean regulators will end enforcement "

According to online reports, Hester Peirce, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Crypto-Friendly Commissioner, issued a document saying that the U.S. SEC resolved Coinbase's case through bias. She herself did not support actions against Coinbase and was worried that using law enforcement tools to regulate the encryption industry would become part of the SEC's larger strategy. Currently, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has established a cryptocurrency working group to interact with the public to establish a regulatory framework that serves the U.S. public. This new approach has contributed to the dismissal of charges against Coinbase, but it does not indicate that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will terminate enforcement in appropriate circumstances.
