Internet reported that Tether announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand has approved the acceptance of USDT as an approved cryptocurrency. This approval allows USDT to trade within the country and promotes its listing on regulated exchanges. The updated regulations are designed to enhance the flexibility of the digital asset business and will take effect on March 16, 2025. Thailand's SEC had previously solicited public feedback on these changes and finalized them in February 2025 with widespread industry support.
