Data: Global cryptocurrency adoption rates surge by 99% every year, with United Arab Emirates and Singapore dominating

On January 18, according to Coin Edition, Triple-A's data shows that cryptocurrency ownership has been widely adopted around the world, with more than 562 million people holding digital assets around the world. UAE leads the global cryptocurrency ownership with an ownership rate of 25.3%, followed by Singapore with 24.4%. Emerging economies have performed strongly in cryptocurrency adoption rates, while developed economies such as Switzerland and the United States lag relatively behind. The global average ownership rate is 8.3%, 61% of holders are men, with the largest proportion of young people aged 25-34. In addition, 65% of individuals expressed interest in using cryptocurrency to make payments. The adoption rate of cryptocurrencies is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 99% per year, far exceeding the 8% rate of traditional payment methods.
