Strategist: Doubts about whether U.S. tariffs will resume within 90 days, uncertainty is reduced but not gone
Online reports, Steve Sosnick, chief market strategist at INTERACTIVE BROKERS: Trump's suspension of tariffs was definitely a surprise, considering that the U.S. government has always said they will not cancel tariffs and that tariffs are non-negotiable... this is a very understandable easing backlash. We now have to wonder whether tariffs will be restored within 90 days. This will hinder companies from making plans for the immediate future and providing guidance for the current quarter. Uncertainty has decreased, but it has not completely disappeared.
