OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever's AI company SSI raises $2 billion at a $32 billion valuation

On April 14, according to FT reports, Safe Superintelligence (SSI), an AI startup founded by OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, raised US$2 billion in its latest financing, and the company is valued at US$32 billion, although no product has been released yet. This round of financing was led by Greenoaks (US$500 million), with Lightspeed Venture and a16z participating. SSI is committed to developing systems that transcend existing AI models, focusing on achieving breakthroughs that transcend human intelligence. The company was established in June 2024 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California and Tel Aviv, Israel.
