Online reports that messaging protocol XMTP tweeted that it has launched a testnet with support from Coinbase Wallet, Circle, ENS, Alchemy, a16z crypto, Mask Network and Faction. Officials said that micro fees paid by testnet applications in USDC will be automatically allocated to node operators; messages will be delivered in milliseconds over the off-chain broadcast network; and Arbitrum Orbit on Base will be used to maintain consensus on key states.
