Lawmakers in Alabama and Minnesota push to establish Bitcoin reserves "

Internet reports that lawmakers in Minnesota and Alabama have submitted accompanying bills identical to existing bills, allowing states to purchase bitcoin. On April 1, Minnesota Republican Rep. Bernie Perriman submitted the Minnesota Bitcoin Act (HF 2946) to the state's House of Representatives, following an identical bill introduced by Republican State Senator Jeremy Miller on March 17. Meanwhile, on the same day in Alabama, Republican Senator Will Barfoot introduced Senate Bill 283, while bipartisan House members led by Republican Mike Shaw introduced the same House Bill 482, which would allow the state to invest in cryptocurrencies but essentially restrict it to Bitcoin.
