New Hampshire Bitcoin Bill Passed by House Commerce Committee "
The Internet reported that the New Hampshire House Commerce Committee voted 16 - 1 to pass the Bitcoin Reserve Act (HB302), which will now enter the full House vote. If it is finally passed, state treasurer will be authorized to invest 5% of state funds in digital assets. In fact, only Bitcoin currently meets the $500 billion market value criterion stipulated in the bill. The bill was proposed by Republican Congressman Keith Ammon and supported by two Democratic congressmen. It was revised to remove stablecoins and pledge options, and the investment cap was reduced from the initial 10%. The state treasurer has said he will consider investment if the bill is passed. This progress coincides with President Trump's announcement of the establishment of a national-level crypto strategic reserve, which experts predict may consist mainly of Bitcoin. Many states, including North Carolina and Texas, are currently promoting similar bills, and state-level Bitcoin legislation in the United States is accelerating.
