New tariff policy may push up prices, American people: The government turns a blind eye to ordinary people "

Internet reports that the new tariff policy recently announced by the U.S. government has aroused concerns among U.S. economic analysts. They predict that the new tariff policy will further push up U.S. prices and bring greater living burdens to consumers. The Tax Foundation, a U.S. think tank, predicts that average U.S. import duties will soar from 2.5% last year to 19% this year, the highest since 1933. The foundation also said that after-tax income of working Americans will fall by an average of 2.1% this year, while the average annual consumption of the average American household will increase by $2100. Analysts at JPMorgan pointed out that the new U.S. tariff policy will cause Americans to pay more than $660 billion in taxes a year. Prices will soar again, and the long-standing high inflation rate in the United States will be pushed up again.
