Russian Bitcoin miners worry that new mining registry could lead to security breaches "

Internet reports, Cryptoslate reports that Russian Bitcoin miners are concerned about government regulations requiring wallet addresses to be included in the national registry. Russian lawmaker Anton Gorelkin highlighted those concerns in a February 7 Telegram post and warned that geopolitical opponents could use the leaked address. He described a scenario where it was a major threat because sanctions could severely affect mining operations. According to him: "Russian miners are concerned about the security of some highly sensitive data (e.g., encrypted wallet numbers) collected by the state under the new regulations... Clearly, the leak of wallet information could bring a big gift to our geopolitical opponents."
