Gemini announces new U.S. dollar payment channels for European institutions
Online reports that the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange is expanding the trading capabilities of its European institutional clients, opening a U.S. dollar payment channel for institutional clients in the UK and Switzerland. The feature will also be available to institutional users in Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. This new feature will allow institutions to deposit and withdraw US dollars from Gemini accounts for free, and can directly use US dollars to conduct cryptocurrency transactions without having to convert to British pounds or euros, thereby reducing trading friction.
