Hong Kong Zhong 'an Bank launched cryptocurrency trading services today
According to online reports, Hong Kong digital bank ZA Bank today announced the launch of a cryptocurrency trading service on its App, becoming the first bank in Asia to provide such services to retail users. Users can buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum in Hong Kong dollars and US dollars. The entry threshold for the service is US$70 or HK$600, a commission of US$1.99 or HK$15 is charged for each transaction, and the platform fee is 1.5% of the transaction amount. Zhongan Bank will implement preferential policies by the end of June 2025, including waiving commissions and reducing platform fees to 0.8%. Wu Zhonghao, acting chief executive officer of Zhong 'an Bank, said that the bank achieved a monthly profit in July this year, and this new business is expected to further drive revenue growth.
