AML Bitcoin founder convicted of fraud or faces decades in prison
On March 13, a 12-member jury in the Federal Court of San Francisco ruled today that Marcus Rowland Andrade, founder of Anti-Money Launching Bitcoin (AML Bitcoin), was convicted of federal wire fraud and money laundering charges for plotting a multi-million-dollar "up-shipment" scam in 2017 and may face decades in prison. Andrade is a Texas businessman who worked with prominent lobbyist Jack Abramoff to promote AML Bitcoin as a "safe and reliable" payment system.
