mETH Protocol releases Bybit security incident update: There have been no unauthorized cmETH exits and attackers have been blacklisted
Internet reports that mETH Protocol released a Bybit security incident update, which disclosed that a security incident in Bybit resulted in the unauthorized withdrawal of mETH and cmETH from the exchange, including the exchange of 8,000 mETH into ETH through three transactions of DEX, and the initiation of 15,000 cmETH withdrawals through mETH Protoc but were not successfully completed. Mantle or mETH Protocol has no risk and reduces cmETH liquidity on Mantle Network L2, and blacklists the attacker's wallet address. As a result, further cmETH transfers or interactions within the agreement were prevented. In the end, no unauthorized cmETH withdrawal occurred. The contract has now been restored and operations have returned to normal.
