Meta released its company's best artificial intelligence model to date, Llama 4, on Saturday, Internet reported. There are a total of four new models in the series: Llama 4 Scout, Llama 4 Maverick and Llama 4 Behemoth. Meta said all of these models were trained with "large amounts of unannotated text, images and video data" to give them "broad visual understanding capabilities." The Scout and Maverick models are publicly available on Llama.com and Meta partners, while the Behemoth model is still under training. Meta said its artificial intelligence assistant Meta AI has been updated to use the Llama 4 model in 40 countries. Currently, multimodal features are only available in English in the United States.
