Internet reports that Ethereum researcher Virgil Griffith, who was jailed for traveling to North Korea and displaying blockchain there, has been released. Previously, Ethereum developer Virgil Griffith went to North Korea in 2019 to "demonstrate and provide technical advice on using cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to evade sanctions." In violation of the sanctions law, he was sentenced to 63 months in prison in 2022, approximately 5 years in prison.
