Trump Presidential Inaugural Fund receives a total of $18 million in donations from crypto companies and executives

On April 22, according to Fortune magazine, U.S. Federal Election Commission documents showed that U.S. President Donald Trump held the most luxurious inauguration event in history due to a record $239 million in donations from corporate supporters and executives. A significant portion of the money comes from the crypto industry, which has been one of Trump's most vocal supporters: Crypto companies and their executives donated $18 million to the 47th U.S. president's inauguration. Among all donors, Ripple Labs has the largest donation amount, reaching nearly US$4.9 million, ranking second. Ripple has been in a long-running lawsuit with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Pilgrim's, one of the world's largest poultry producers, topped the list with a $5 million donation. Online broker Robinhood, whose revenue comes from crypto trading, donated $2 million. Other major donors include some of the industry's top companies, such as trading platforms Coinbase, Kraken and Crypto.com; stablecoin issuer Circle, which recently applied to go public; and venture capital giant Paradigm, whose asset management is near all-time high in 2024-both of which donated $1 million.
